Between 1870 and 1880, the family moved to Piney Falls, Tennessee. The children born to David and Elizabeth were Sarah Ann Dye (b.1870), Amanda Belle Dye (b.1872), Addison Dye (b.1874), William David Dye (b.1876), Reuben Dye (b.1877), Calvin Watson Dye (b.1877).
